Review Of Using NLP on eBay(Review prepared - March 2005)
Quick Summary
ReviewIf you go to the airport book-stand and look over the books in the sales section, most likely you will see a bunch of books about using NLP in sales presentations.NLP, which stands for "Neuro-Linguistic Programming" is a set of psychological techniques, which can be used in sales, teaching and other fields. While I have read a lot of sales books (not to mention a lot of psychology books), I've never previously read one about NLP. This is EXE format eBook (suitable for use on Windows computers) contains ideas and tips for using NLP on eBay. Before starting, I didn't really know what to expect, and have to admit that I was a little concerned that book might focus on amateur psychology, rather than the reader's business goals. On reading however, I quickly found that my concerns were unfounded. This book contains a lot of useful ideas for using NLP techniques on eBay, to write more effective auctions, persuade your customers to buy, and so on. If you have read other books on copywriting, many of the ideas in this book, will seem familiar - what's different is the NLP twist. When you open the book, you are shown a Table Of Contents, and from there you can click into any of the chapters on different assorted topics. One minor thing that I found slightly annoying, is that I couldn't find a way to move from one chapter to the next, without pressing back and going back to the Table Of Contents. ConclusionOverall I liked this eBook, and felt it presented a somewhat unusual perspective on improving sales techniques and copywriting. My overall rating for this eBook is therefore recommended.
